This Giving Tuesday we want to ask for your help in providing art-loving kiddos in our community with hands-on art activities and the materials to complete them. Every $5 donation will allow us to create and provide an art kit to a child.

In a normal year, we would be hosting more than 50 field trips of more than 2,000 school children from Forsyth and the surrounding counties (many who have never been to a museum before). In addition to a tour of our exhibitions, our amazing Director of Education and Audience Engagement, Alex Brown, would be conducting a hand-on arts activity with the students on site and providing them with simple art materials to take home with them.

Although we have continued our partnership with the WS/FCS and some of our other educational partners virtually, we know that nearly everyone misses exploring the world beyond our screens. Hands-on art-making will never be obsolete, so to serve these kids with SECCA's educational mission, we are doing a specific fundraiser to create art kits for them in December and January. The kits will be available to families visiting SECCA and distributed through some of our educational partners as well. Our goal is to distribute 1,000 of them by raising $5,000.

MAKE A DONATION

Under the CARES Act, part of the federal government's pandemic relief program that passed in March, individual taxpayers can take a deduction of up to $300 for cash donations made in 2020 when they file their tax return in the spring.

Please help us spread the joy by making a donation today. Happy Holidays!
