Working with small gelli plates and layering natural objects, stencils, shapes, and inks, participants will make beautiful small prints, gift tags and cards to share with family and friends just in time for the holidays.

The instructor, Mona Wu, is the featured artist in this month's Southern Idiom exhibition at SECCA. She is a native of China and has lived in the United States since 1971. She studied Chinese painting and calligraphy in Hong Kong. In 1996 Mona received her BA in Art History from Salem College. Starting in 1997, she has been studying printmaking at Wake Forest University. She incorporates her painting, calligraphy, and printmaking into her collage work. Mona is a member of Artworks Gallery, an artist co-op organization, and Associated Artists of Winston-Salem.
